From the 1st of November 2021 the way employers handle employee default super accounts has changed;
- Employees still have the right to choose their own super fund and you should give them super choice paperwork when they commence working for you.
- If your employee does not choose a fund within 28 days in most cases you should pay their super to their stapled fund. You can work out which fund this is by contacting the ATO.
